Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time: 0:00 Categories : Cakes 2 cups granulated sugar 2 tablespoons butter 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1 cup walnuts or pecans 2 cups dates 2 cups hot water 2 teaspoons soda Put soda in water and pour over dates. Let cool. Mix other ingredients as for a cake. Add dates. Pour into 2 layer cake pans. Bake at 350°. 30 minutes. Test. Yield: "2 layers"
