1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cooking oil

Beat egg and milk together. Then beat in all but oil. Add it last and beat. Dip onion rings in batter before deep frying.
