3 cups mashed potatoes
1 8 ounce Sour cream
6 slices bacon — cooked and crumbled
3 small green onions — chopped
1 cup Cheddar cheese — shredded
Evenly spread potatoes in a lightly greased 10 x 6 x 2 inch baking dish. Top with sour cream; sprinkle with bacon and green onion. Top with cheese. Bake potatoes at 300° for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
1 3 1/2 pound pkg. chicken pieces skinned
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 16 oz. pkg. herb seasoned stuffing mix (4 cups)
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter — melted
Soak chicken in buttermilk 8 hours. Drain and discard buttermilk.
Process stuffing mix and next 4 ingredients in a food processor or blender until fine crumbs.
Dip chicken pieces in butter; roll in stuffing mixture until well coated. Place chicken on a baking sheet.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until golden brown.
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs – 1 at a time. Stirring well after each. Dissolve cocoa in 1/2 cup buttermilk. Dissolve soda in the other 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add with dry ingredients a little at a time. Add flavoring.
Bake in layers 30 minutes – sheet pan 40 to 45 min. Test. 350 Degrees.
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons rounded flour
1 pint heavy cream
Butter
Put in sauce pan with 2 or 3 tablespoons of butter. Bring to bubbling boil. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 350° until golden brown — about 20 minutes – and solid.
6 medium potatoes, peel and slice 1/4 inch thick
6 medium onion — sliced
1/2 cup melted butter
1 clove garlic — crushed
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
paprika to sprinkle
Alternate slices of potatoes and onions in 9 x 13 inch dish. Combine other ingredients and drizzle over the potatoes and onions. Cover and bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minute to brown.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup milk
2 cups powdered sugar
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar.
Boil and stir over low heat 2 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir until it stops boiling. Stir in milk. Bring to boil, stiring constantly. Cool to lukewarm. Gradually stir in powdered sugar. If too thick, add a little milk. If you get too much milk, set bowl in a bowl of ice water and it will thicken up again.
